HON. LINDA STOREY - Recent Appeals from the County Civil Court at Law No. 3 - CCCL#3 - Harris County www.houston-opinions.com |
LINDA STOREY ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL (in her own words) (2006) I’m Linda Storey. I’m seeking the Republican nomination for Harris County Civil Court-at-Law # 3 in the March 7th Primary. I need your support. As a longtime Republican and an attorney with extensive experience in private practice and public service, I know it’s time for a change in this court. Conservatives have worked hard to build a local judiciary that responds to the people. We have worked hard to put judges on the bench that are knowledgeable, passionate about fairness and fiscally responsible. Most of all, in Texas, we like our judges to be true conservatives all the time – not just when it’s time to run for another term. Conservatives deserve better in this court, and so do all Harris County taxpayers. Please enjoy this site. It’s a work in progress. I hope you use it to learn more about me, my campaign and how you can help. Thanks for your support. Update for 2010 Campaign as incumbent: Judge Linda Storey, a lifelong resident of Houston and a fifth-generation native Texan, was elected to preside in Harris County Civil Court-At-Law No. 3 in 2006. In 2010, she will be seeking her second term on the bench. When Judge Storey took over the docket of Civil Court 3, the court had a pending backlog of several thousand cases. Judge Storey has worked tirelessly to reduce that backlog by more than 1,000 cases, as well as to streamline procedures to keep up with new cases filed. A new bankruptcy status docket was created to ensure cases with bankruptcy filings are now managed efficiently and never forgotten or lost in the system.
